Also both applications will save files in the same directory now, tho they have different paths. If you open it, you will see the files from the hogwarts legacy folder (as you are physically in that one). Go to the C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy 2. I found it on steam after a comment from u/Consistent-Leg-549 mentioned it: 1. If you look into %appdata%\.\Local\ folder, you will see that the hogwarts folder there again (now as a physical link). WORKING SOLUTION: For anyone having issues, this solution works. Mklink /j "%appdata%\.\Local\hogwarts" "%appdata%\.\Local\hogwarts legacy" A black window open, there you execute the following: ![]() ![]() Then click the windows button, type cmd, press enter. Then rename the hogwarts folder to hogwarts_backup BEFORE YOU TRY THIS, BACKUP YOUR SAVE GAMES -Ĭopy the files from "%appdata%\.\Local\hogwarts" to "%appdata%\.\Local\hogwarts legacy" (so that the newest savefile is in hogwarts legacy folder. So if a file is modified in C:/a, it is also modified in C:/b (as its physically the same, tho its a different path. So if I create an mklink from C:/a to C:/b, applications and user will be able to access both folders but physically its the same. What mklink does, it basically creates a reference. ![]() You could use an mklink to link the folders.
